Lab Grown Diamond Price in Ahmedabad: What to Pay per Carat (2026)

Lab grown diamond price in Ahmedabad: ₹50,000 per carat at Nivara, VVS clarity, E colour, IGI certified

Updated 8 October 2026

A lab grown diamond in Ahmedabad costs ₹50,000 per carat at Nivara, for a VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut stone with an IGI report. Half a carat is ₹25,000, one carat ₹50,000 and two carats ₹1,00,000. Gold at the prevailing rate, making charges and tax are added for a finished piece, and each is itemised.

Checking the diamond rate in Ahmedabad today? That is the number, and it is the one quoted at our Vastrapur showroom. This page gives the price by carat, what is added to turn a stone into a ring, earrings or a pendant, and how to read any diamond quote you are handed.

What a lab grown diamond costs in Ahmedabad

A rate per carat means little until the stone behind it is named. Two diamonds of the same weight can sit far apart in price because of their colour, clarity and cut, so a rate with no grade attached is not yet a price. The first question for any jeweller is what grade the number is for.

At Nivara the grade is fixed. Every diamond is VVS clarity, E colour and ideal cut, IGI certified, and there is no lower tier kept back to make a number look friendlier. One standard carries one price: ₹50,000 per carat at every size, the same for every buyer, and the same in all four of our showrooms, in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Indore and Ahmedabad.

Diamond price by carat

For a VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut round brilliant, IGI certified:

Carat weight Diamond price
0.50 ct ₹25,000
0.70 ct ₹35,000
1.00 ct ₹50,000
1.50 ct ₹75,000
2.00 ct ₹1,00,000
3.00 ct ₹1,50,000

These figures are for the stone alone. Carat is weight, not width: a 2 carat round looks about a quarter wider than a 1 carat, not twice as big, and our diamond carat size chart shows every size drawn to scale in millimetres. For the national picture at one carat, read what a 1 carat lab grown diamond costs in India.

What is added to the diamond price

A finished piece is the diamond plus three things.

  • Gold at the prevailing rate, for the weight the design needs. Every piece is available in 14K and 18K, BIS hallmarked, and 18K costs more than 14K because it contains a higher share of gold.
  • Making charges, the cost of crafting the piece.
  • Tax, added on the invoice.

Each of the three is itemised, so you can see where every rupee goes. Only the gold moves with the gold rate. The diamond is a fixed rate per carat, so when a piece on this page says "from around", it is the gold that can shift the figure, not the stone. A slim band uses little gold and a wide band or a chain uses more, so two pieces with the same diamond can land at different totals.

Real pieces, and the diamond inside each

Prices are for 14K gold. Earrings are listed by the weight of the pair, and the photographs are not to scale with each other.

How to tell a fair diamond quote

Whoever you ask in Ahmedabad, hold the quote to the same five checks.

  • The grade is written down. Colour, clarity and cut for the exact stone, not a range.
  • The report belongs to that stone. An IGI report for the diamond in front of you, with the number laser inscribed on the girdle of a solitaire. A loupe will show it.
  • The diamond has its own line. Its price should sit apart from the gold, the making charges and the tax.
  • The gold is stated. Its weight, its purity and the rate used.
  • The way out is in writing. Exchange and buyback terms, before you pay.

When two quotes differ, compare the grade behind each first, then what each number includes. Our guide to the top lab grown diamond brands in India sets out the questions worth putting to any brand, ours included.

What the diamond price includes

The diamond price covers the stone and its IGI report. On a solitaire the report number is laser inscribed on the stone, so the paper and the diamond are one. It does not cover the gold, the making charges or the tax, which are added and itemised for the piece you choose.

What comes with every piece

  • One diamond standard, whatever the budget: VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut.
  • IGI certification, and on solitaires the report number laser inscribed on the stone, so the paper and the diamond are one.
  • 14k or 18k BIS hallmarked gold.
  • A lifetime exchange at 100% of the current gold and diamond value, and a lifetime buyback at 100% gold and 85% diamond value.
  • Lifetime polishing, cleaning and prong tightening, for as long as the piece is worn.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 1 carat lab grown diamond cost in Ahmedabad?

At Nivara a 1 carat lab grown diamond is ₹50,000, for VVS clarity, E colour and ideal cut with an IGI report. That is the stone alone. A finished ring adds gold at the prevailing rate, making charges and tax, all itemised. Our 1.00 carat Amora solitaire is from around ₹73,000 in 14K gold.

What does a 2 carat lab grown diamond cost in Ahmedabad?

The stone is ₹1,00,000, at ₹50,000 per carat. The rate is the same at every size, so 1.50 carats is ₹75,000 and 3 carats is ₹1,50,000. Gold, making charges and tax are added for the finished piece.

What is added to the diamond price in a finished ring?

Gold at the prevailing rate, making charges and tax. Together they make the gap between the price of the diamond and the price of the piece. A 0.50 carat diamond is ₹25,000, and our 0.50 carat Amora solitaire is from around ₹49,000 in 14K gold. The gold part moves with the gold rate, and 18K costs more than 14K.

Is the diamond price the same at every Nivara showroom?

Yes. The diamond is ₹50,000 per carat in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Indore and Ahmedabad, for the same standard: VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut, IGI certified. Only the gold in a finished piece moves, and it follows the gold rate.

How can I check a diamond quote in Ahmedabad?

Ask for five things in writing: the grade of the exact stone, its IGI report number, the diamond priced on its own line, the weight and purity of the gold with the rate used, and the exchange and buyback terms. A quote that shows all five can be compared with any other.
