What is IGI?

International Gemological Institute is an independent gemological laboratory that provides diamond, colored stone and jewelry certification services in Belgium. It was established back in 1975. Today, IGI is considered as the world's largest independent laboratory. It offers services to the public through diamond dealers and also jewelry manufacturers. It provides independent grading reports, colored stone reports, identification and appraisal reports and diamond authentication.

What is the IGI laboratory grown diamond report?

It gives an accurate assessment of the gemstone’s cut, color, clarity and carat weight according to strict international standards. 

IGI tests all gemstones with the latest technologies to determine its origin. Qualified gemologists test further under controlled conditions, reporting all the relevant gemological characteristics with strict application of the international system. And then, the prepared report is given for the diamond.

To verify the authenticity of an IGI diamond grading report online, you can use the "Verify Your Report" feature on the website (www.igi.org). Enter the unique report number and the exact carat weight as shown on the report and then click "Check”.
