Nivara on Yeshwant Niwas Road: The Indore Showroom Guide

Nivara's Indore showroom sits on Yeshwant Niwas Road, on the ground and first floor of Shivaay One in Builders Colony, Shivaji Nagar. It is open every day of the week, 11 am to 9 pm. This is what to expect before you visit, and what to ask when you are there.

Wondering what a stone actually costs before you visit? The lab grown diamond price in Indore is published in full, per carat.

Indore is one of three showrooms behind the Nivara Buyer Index, our published enquiry data covering all three cities.

Yeshwant Niwas Road is central and easy to reach from Vijay Nagar, Palasia and the old city alike. There is parking at the building. If you are coming from further out, message ahead and we will hold a viewing slot rather than have you wait.

What a viewing actually involves

Most people arrive expecting a counter and a tray. A Nivara viewing is closer to a seated conversation.

You will be shown loose stones before settings. That order matters: the diamond is the part you cannot change later, and it is easier to judge on its own than mounted in a ring that is already doing work to flatter it. You will see the stone in daylight, not only under display lighting, because display lighting is designed to make every diamond look good and daylight is not.

With the stone you will be shown its IGI report, and the report number laser inscribed on the girdle. Ask to see the inscription under the loupe. It takes a moment and it permanently ties that certificate to that diamond.

Nothing is finalised in the room. Pieces are made to order in roughly three weeks, so there is time to think after you leave.

What Nivara stocks, and what it does not

Every Nivara diamond is the same grade: VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut, IGI certified. There is no lower tier held back for a friendlier price, which means there is no version of the same ring with a quietly weaker stone.

The practical effect in a showroom is that you spend your visit choosing a design rather than negotiating a grade. What varies is the setting, the metal, the carat weight and the shape. What does not vary is the standard of the stone.

The range covers engagement rings and solitaires, everyday rings, earrings from studs to drops, pendants, necklaces, tennis bracelets, bangles and mangalsutras, set in 14K or 18K BIS hallmarked gold.

What it costs, before you walk in

Nivara publishes the diamond rate rather than quoting it on request. For a VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut round brilliant stone:

Carat weight Diamond price
0.50 ct ₹25,000
0.70 ct ₹35,000
1.00 ct ₹50,000
1.50 ct ₹75,000
2.00 ct ₹1,00,000
3.00 ct ₹1,50,000

These figures are for the stone alone. The final price of a finished piece adds gold at the prevailing rate, making charges and the certificate, and all of that is itemised for you. You can work out roughly where a piece will land before you arrive, which is the point of publishing it.

What happens after you buy

This is the part worth asking any jeweller about, in Indore or anywhere else, because it is where policies differ most and are described most vaguely.

  • Lifetime exchange at 100% of the current gold value and 100% of the current diamond value.
  • Lifetime buyback at 100% of the current gold value and 85% of the current diamond value.
  • Free for life: polishing, rhodium plating, cleaning and prong tightening, at any Nivara showroom.
  • Damaged or defective items are reportable within 7 days of receipt.

Prong tightening is the unglamorous one that matters most. Stones are lost from loose prongs, not from bad luck, and a piece checked once a year effectively does not lose its diamond.

Questions worth asking, at any Indore jeweller

  • Which laboratory graded this stone, and may I see the report now?
  • Is the report number inscribed on the girdle? May I see it under the loupe?
  • What is the exact colour, clarity and cut grade of this specific diamond, not the range the collection covers?
  • What does the diamond alone cost, before gold and making charges?
  • If I exchange this in five years, is it valued at the current rate, and are making charges deducted?
  • Does the buyback cover the diamond, or only the gold?

A jeweller who answers all six without hesitating is worth buying from, whether or not that jeweller is us.
