How much does a diamond mangalsutra cost?
The price follows what each product page lists, the diamond weight and the gold weight, plus the work of setting. A light design with a small cluster starts near ₹62,000. A wide statement design with several carats of diamonds reaches ₹2.9 lakh. Prices on this page are for 14k gold and move with the gold rate.

What decides the price of a diamond mangalsutra
- Diamond weight. Every Nivara diamond is lab grown, a real diamond with the same hardness and brilliance as a mined one, and priced at ₹50,000 per carat for VVS clarity and E colour. A design holding 1 carat of diamonds carries ₹50,000 of diamonds before the gold and setting are added. Our designs hold from 0.22 to 4.67 carat.
- Gold weight. The product page lists the gold weight in grams. A design with more gold costs more.
- Karat. 14k and 18k are both hallmarked. 18k holds more gold and costs more: the Flora Lumenleaf lists 3.54 g in 14k and 4.54 g in 18k.
- Colour of the gold. It does not change the price. Yellow, rose and white gold cost the same at the same karat.
- The setting. A cluster of many small diamonds takes more work to set than a few larger stones, and that work is part of the price.
Diamond weight alone does not set the price. These three designs each carry 1.06 carat of diamonds, so the diamond part of the price is the same in all three. The difference is the gold and the setting.

Eira Efflora, from around ₹78,000. A fine curve of gold and diamonds on a strand of black beads, with a single small diamond hanging at the centre, 0.80 carat in all.
Toi et Moi mangalsutra, from around ₹90,000. A round and a pear diamond side by side on a gold chain with a black bead on each side, 0.91 carat in all. Toi et moi means you and me.

Black beads, chain and pendant
Black beads and a gold pendant are the core of the form, and every design above keeps both. The beads can run in strands on either side of the pendant, or sit as a few beads on a gold chain close to it. The pendant itself can be a single diamond in a halo, a V, a drop, a row of clusters or a wide curve. Compare the terms, not only the price
A price means little without the grade and the terms behind it. No. At Nivara, yellow, rose and white gold cost the same at the same karat. The karat does change it: 18k holds more gold than 14k, so it costs more. Both prices are on the product page.
How much gold is in a diamond mangalsutra?
It depends on the design. The product page lists the gold weight in grams, and in 14k our designs run from about 3.1 g to about 9.2 g. The same design holds more gold in 18k: the Flora Lumenleaf lists 3.54 g in 14k and 4.54 g in 18k.
Can I exchange or sell back a diamond mangalsutra later?
Yes. Every Nivara piece carries a lifetime exchange at 100% of the current gold and diamond value, and a lifetime buyback at 100% of the gold value and 85% of the diamond value. Within 15 days of purchase the full invoice value counts towards an exchange; after that, making charges and taxes are deducted.
