The Nivara standard
Nivara sets one diamond standard and does not move off it. Every stone is VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut. There is no good, better, best ladder, and no version of the same ring with a quietly weaker stone at a friendlier price.
That decision has a consequence worth understanding. It means we cannot compete at the entry end of the market, because the stone we start with is already at the top of the grading scale. What you get in exchange is that you do not have to become an amateur gemologist to buy safely from us. The floor and the ceiling are the same.
Every diamond arrives with its IGI report, and the report number is laser inscribed on the girdle of the stone, so the certificate and the diamond cannot be separated. Every stone also ships with a light performance report, which grades brightness, fire and contrast. The 4Cs tell you what a diamond is. Light performance tells you how it behaves when someone is actually looking at it.
The question that separates most brands
Ask any jeweller this: what exactly does the price cover, and what is the stone alone worth?
In fine jewellery the final price is the diamond, plus the gold, plus making charges, plus tax. When those are bundled into one number, you cannot tell whether you paid for the stone or for the setting. That is not dishonesty, it is just how most of the trade quotes.

What to check when comparing any two lab-grown diamond brands
- The grading laboratory, named. IGI and GIA are the two international laboratories most widely recognised for lab-grown stones. Ask which one graded your specific diamond, and ask to see the report before you pay.
- Whether the report number is on the stone. A laser inscription on the girdle ties that certificate to that diamond permanently.
- The exact grade, not the range. "VVS to VS" and "VVS" are different promises. Get the grade of your piece in writing.
- What the exchange is worth in rupees. "Lifetime exchange" means little until you know whether it is at current value, and whether making charges come off.
- Whether the buyback is on the gold, the diamond, or both. Many policies quietly cover only the metal.
- What happens at year five. Polishing, rhodium plating and prong tightening are what keep a piece wearable. Ask whether they cost anything.
Which should you choose?
If you have found a design you love elsewhere and the certification checks out, buy it. That is a good outcome and we mean it.

The diamonds themselves are graded on the same 4Cs by the same laboratories. What differs between brands is which grades they choose to stock, how clearly they tell you, and what they commit to after the sale.
Is IGI certification enough, or do I need GIA?
Both are internationally recognised for lab-grown diamonds. IGI grades the large majority of lab-grown stones worldwide. What matters more than the choice between them is that the report is real, current, and matches the inscription on your stone.
Why does one brand charge more than another for the same carat weight?
Usually because the stones are not the same. Colour, clarity and cut move price substantially at the same carat weight. A one carat VVS E ideal cut and a one carat SI H are both one carat, and they are not comparable purchases.
Can I see the diamond before I commit?
