Solitaire Rings

The solitaire is the purest statement in fine jewellery. One stone. Nothing competing. Nowhere to hide. Nivara's lab-grown diamond solitaire rings are built on IGI-certified diamonds graded Excellent in cut, because in a solitaire, cut is everything. The same carat weight in a Good-cut stone and an Excellent-cut stone looks different in the light. We chose Excellent.

This collection spans round brilliants, ovals, cushions, pear shapes, and princess cuts, each mounted in our signature four-prong or six-prong setting, in 14K or 18K hallmarked gold. The four-prong setting maximises light entry for maximum brilliance. The six-prong setting offers a more traditional silhouette with slightly greater security. Both are made to order, covered by our lifetime warranty, and delivered fully insured across India.

A solitaire is also the single strongest argument for choosing lab-grown over mined: every rupee of your budget goes into one stone, fully visible, fully graded. The ethical origin is a bonus that happens to cost less. Explore our engagement ring collection for settings built around the solitaire format, or read our guide to the 4Cs before deciding on your cut. Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a solitaire ring different from other diamond rings?
A solitaire ring features a single centre diamond with no accent or side stones. All visual attention lands on that one diamond. This makes cut quality the most important factor, an Excellently-cut solitaire outshines a larger diamond with a Good cut in almost all lighting conditions.
Which diamond shape is most popular for solitaire rings in India?
Round brilliant remains the most purchased shape in India, followed closely by oval. The oval has grown significantly in popularity since 2022 because it appears larger per carat than a round and elongates the finger. Cushion cut is the third most popular, particularly among buyers who prefer a softer, vintage aesthetic.
What is the minimum carat weight I should consider for a solitaire ring?
For a ring intended as an engagement or statement piece, we recommend a minimum of 0.50 carats. At this weight, the diamond is clearly visible and makes a real presence. For a delicate everyday solitaire, 0.25 to 0.40ct works beautifully and keeps the ring lightweight for daily wear.
Is a four-prong or six-prong setting better for a solitaire?
Four-prong settings expose more of the diamond to light, resulting in maximum brilliance. They also give a modern, architectural look. Six-prong settings offer slightly greater security and suit rounder diamonds especially well. Both are excellent. The choice is aesthetic and personal. Our consultants show you both in person at our showrooms.
Are Nivara's solitaire rings IGI certified?
Yes. Every lab-grown diamond in our solitaire collection is accompanied by an IGI grading report. You receive the physical report with your ring. The report confirms cut, colour, clarity, and carat weight, the four international standards for diamond quality assessment.
