What is a princess cut and who does it suit?
A princess is a square brilliant. It has the faceting pattern that produces sparkle like a round, but in a square outline with sharp corners, so it reads as crisp and modern rather than classical. It also retains more of the original rough than most shapes. This is a focused edit of five designs, including the Mira halo, the Amara solitaire with round side stones, the Amora men's ring and the Niro band.
Are the sharp corners of a princess cut a durability risk?
The corners are the one genuinely vulnerable part of the shape, which is why every princess here is set with the corners protected by prongs or enclosed within a halo or band rather than left exposed. Diamond is a 10 on the Mohs scale, but a sharp point concentrates any knock. If you work with your hands a lot, the Niro band or the halo setting will take daily life better than a raised solitaire.
How is the price of a princess cut ring worked out?

Each piece is made to order in about three weeks and shipped fully insured.
What is Nivara's policy if something is wrong with the ring?
If a piece arrives damaged, defective or not as described, report it within 7 days. We assess each case individually and any refund is processed in 6 to 8 days. Separately, every ring carries a lifetime exchange at 100% of the current gold and 100% of the current diamond value, and a lifetime buyback at 100% of the current gold and 85% of the current diamond value with making charges and taxes always deducted.
