Lab-Grown Diamond Jewellery in India

Nivara makes IGI certified lab-grown diamond jewellery for people who want the stone to be exceptional and the decision to be simple. Every diamond we set meets one standard, and every piece is made to order in BIS hallmarked gold or platinum. Browse the full collection below, or start with a category. If the category is new to you, start instead with how lab grown diamonds are made.

The collection spans everyday pieces and once in a lifetime ones.

The Nivara standard

Most jewellers sell diamonds across a range of grades and let the price do the explaining. We do not. Every Nivara diamond is the same specification, whether it sits in a ₹40,000 pendant or a ₹4,00,000 solitaire ring:

  • VVS clarity. Inclusions are very difficult to see even under ten times magnification, well above the eye clean threshold most brands stop at.
  • E colour. In the colourless band, so the stone reads white against the metal rather than warm.
  • Ideal cut, hearts and arrows precise. Cut is what makes a diamond move in the light, and it is the C most often compromised to protect a price point.
  • 27 quality checks before a stone is set, carried out by our own gemologists.
  • IGI certified, with the report number laser inscribed on the girdle so the paper and the stone can never be separated, which is also how a jeweller tells a lab grown diamond from a mined one.

A light performance report ships with every diamond. The 4Cs describe what a diamond is. The light performance report shows how it behaves on your hand: brightness, fire and contrast, measured rather than described.

How we are priced

A Nivara diamond is ₹50,000 per carat. The same rate for everyone, published rather than negotiated. A 1 carat stone is ₹50,000, a 2 carat stone is ₹1,00,000. The setting is priced separately and depends on the metal and the design, so you can see exactly what you are paying for the stone and what you are paying for the craft.

We do not run grade tiers, so there is no cheaper version of a Nivara diamond and no premium one. There is one standard, and the price follows the carat.

Choosing a piece

By shape

Round brilliant returns the most light and suits almost every setting. Oval and pear elongate the finger and read larger for their carat weight. Emerald and asscher cuts trade sparkle for clarity of line, and are unforgiving of a poor stone, which is why they look their best at VVS. Princess, cushion, marquise and radiant each carry their own character. Explore solitaire rings to compare shapes side by side.

By setting

A solitaire puts the stone forward. A halo frames it with smaller diamonds so the centre reads larger. Three stone designs mark a past, present and future, and toi et moi pairs two stones for two people. Eternity bands carry diamonds all the way around, and nature inspired designs soften the geometry.

By metal

We work in 14k and 18k BIS hallmarked gold, in white, yellow and rose. White metals keep a colourless stone reading cool and bright. Yellow and rose gold bring warmth to the setting and suit skin tones that lean golden. 18k is richer in colour, 14k is harder wearing for pieces worn daily. For everyday wear, that difference matters more than it sounds.

Lab-grown, and what that actually means

A lab-grown diamond is a diamond. Same carbon, same crystal structure, same hardness, same refractive index, same fire. It is grown rather than mined, in weeks rather than aeons, and it is graded by the same laboratories against the same 4C scale. A gemologist cannot tell the difference by eye, and neither can a diamond tester, because there is no difference to find. What changes is the supply chain, not the stone.

What comes with every piece

See it in person

Photographs flatten a diamond. If you can, come and hold one. Our showrooms are open all seven days, 11 am to 9 pm, in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Indore. If you are elsewhere in India, message us and we will arrange a virtual viewing where you can see the stones on video before deciding.

Buying from elsewhere in India

We have showrooms in three cities only, so most of India buys from us the same way: a private viewing on video, then free insured delivery to your door. The certification, the pricing and the lifetime exchange and buyback terms are identical either way. Find what that looks like for your city: Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Kochi, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Nagpur, Nashik, Vadodara, Raipur, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, and Guwahati.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of a lab-grown diamond at Nivara?
A Nivara lab-grown diamond is ₹50,000 per carat, the same published rate for everyone. A 1 carat stone is ₹50,000 and a 2 carat stone is ₹1,00,000. The setting is priced separately depending on the metal and design, so the stone price and the craft price are always visible to you.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. It is graded by the same laboratories against the same 4C scale. A gemologist cannot distinguish one by eye and a diamond tester registers it as a diamond, because it is one. Only the origin differs.
What quality of diamond does Nivara use?
One standard on every piece: VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut with hearts and arrows precision. Every stone passes 27 quality checks before it is set and is IGI certified, with the report number laser inscribed on the girdle. There are no grade tiers, so there is no lower quality version of a Nivara diamond.
Is Nivara jewellery IGI certified?
Every Nivara diamond is IGI certified. The certificate accompanies the piece and the report number is laser inscribed on the diamond's girdle, so the stone and its paperwork can always be matched. A light performance report showing brightness, fire and contrast ships alongside it.
Does Nivara buy back or exchange jewellery?
Yes, for life. Lifetime exchange is at 100% of current gold value and 100% of current diamond value, with making charges and taxes waived within 15 days of purchase and deducted after that. Lifetime buyback is at 100% of current gold value and 85% of current diamond value.
Where can I see Nivara jewellery in person?
Our showrooms are in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Indore, open all seven days from 11 am to 9 pm. If you are elsewhere in India, message us and we will arrange a virtual viewing so you can see the stones on video before you decide. Shipping across India is free and insured.
What metals does Nivara work in?
14k and 18k BIS hallmarked gold in white, yellow and rose, and platinum. 18k carries a richer colour while 14k is harder wearing for pieces worn every day. White metals keep a colourless diamond reading cool and bright, while yellow and rose bring warmth to the setting.
