Who are clip on earrings for?
Anyone without pierced ears, and anyone whose piercings have stretched or become sensitive and can no longer take a post comfortably. It is a genuine need that most fine jewellery ignores. Are clip on earrings comfortable to wear for a full evening?
Comfort depends on the pressure of the fitting and the weight of the earring, and a well made clip distributes pressure across the lobe rather than pinching one point. These are designed with that in mind, but comfort is personal, so we would strongly recommend trying a pair on at a showroom before ordering rather than judging from a photograph.
What do clip on earrings cost?
The two designs currently sit at about ₹86,000 and about ₹1,69,000. The diamond is ₹50,000 per carat for VVS clarity and E colour, the same rate for every buyer, and the metal and setting are additional. A clip fitting involves more mechanism than a simple post, which is reflected in the making.
Is the quality the same as your pierced designs?
Identical. Every diamond is VVS clarity, E colour and ideal cut, hearts and arrows precise, through 27 quality checks, IGI certified with the report number laser inscribed on the girdle, with a light performance report grading brightness, fire and contrast. The metal is 14K or 18K BIS hallmarked gold, the same as any other piece.
Can other designs be made as clip ons?
Some can, depending on how the design distributes weight, since a heavy drop that works on a post may not sit well on a clip. Bring the design that interests you to any Nivara showroom in Hyderabad, Bangalore or Indore and the team will tell you honestly whether it can be converted. All three are open 7 days a week from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
What if the fitting is not comfortable once it arrives?
This is exactly why we recommend trying a pair in person first. If a piece arrives damaged, defective or not as described, report it within 7 days and we will assess it case by case, with any refund processed in 6 to 8 days. Otherwise the lifetime exchange applies, at 100% of the current gold value and 100% of the current diamond value, with making charges and taxes waived within 15 days of purchase and deducted after.
