What is a toggle bracelet?
A bracelet fastened by a T shaped bar that passes through a ring, rather than by a spring clasp. The closure is part of the design and sits visibly on the wrist instead of being hidden at the back. This collection currently holds one design, the Flora round lab-grown diamonds bracelet, at about ₹1,03,000.
Is a toggle closure secure?
A toggle relies on the weight of the bracelet keeping the bar seated through the ring, so it works well on a piece with enough weight and needs the ring to be correctly sized to the bar. It is easier to fasten one handed than a spring clasp, which is a genuine advantage. Have the fit of the bar and ring checked periodically at any Nivara showroom, since wear at that point loosens the hold.
How should a toggle bracelet fit?
Slightly looser than a clasp bracelet, because the toggle needs enough slack for the bar to turn through the ring, and the weight needs somewhere to hang for the closure to stay seated. Too tight and it will not fasten properly. Every piece is made to order in about three weeks, so get measured at a showroom rather than estimating.
Does a toggle closure add to the price?
The diamond is ₹50,000 per carat for VVS clarity and E colour, the same rate for every buyer, and the metal and setting are additional. A toggle closure is made rather than bought in as a standard finding, so the metalwork on the bar and ring is genuinely part of the making cost in a way a spring clasp is not.
What certification comes with it?
Every diamond is VVS clarity, E colour and ideal cut, hearts and arrows precise, through 27 quality checks, IGI certified with the report number laser inscribed on the girdle. A light performance report grading brightness, fire and contrast ships with every diamond. The metal is 14K or 18K BIS hallmarked gold in yellow, rose or white.
