Pendants Bezel Setting
A prong-set stone points outward to the world. A bezel-set stone belongs entirely to itself. The bezel setting wraps a continuous rim of gold around the diamond, encircling it, securing it, and giving the finished piece a completeness that prong settings simply do not have. It is the more modern choice, the cleaner choice, and for many women, the more personal one. There is an intimacy to it. The diamond is held, not displayed. Nivara's bezel-set pendants feature IGI-certified lab-grown diamonds in 18K hallmarked gold. The setting also offers genuine practical benefits: no prongs to catch on fabric, no risk of a claw lifting with daily wear. These pendants are made to be worn every day without being treated carefully, which is exactly what everyday luxury should mean. They layer with other pieces or sit alone at the collarbone, the stone anchored and unhurried. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a bezel setting?
A continuous rim of metal that wraps entirely around the girdle of the diamond, holding it from all sides instead of gripping it with prongs. It is the oldest setting method and the most secure. These 6 designs include the Aura round bezel cross pendant, the Aura square bezel cross, and Amora bezel set oval, round and marquise pendants.
What are the advantages and the trade offs?
Advantages: nothing catches on clothing, the girdle of the stone is fully protected, and no prong can be knocked out of alignment. Trade offs: the metal rim covers a thin band of the diamond's edge, so the stone looks marginally smaller than the same carat weight in prongs, and less light enters from the sides. For a piece worn every day, most people find that trade worthwhile.
Does a bezel make the diamond look smaller?
Slightly, because the rim overlaps the outer edge of the stone. A well made bezel keeps that overlap minimal, and a rim in the same colour as the diamond, meaning white gold around a colourless stone, blurs the boundary and makes the whole element read as larger. In yellow or rose gold the rim defines a crisp outline instead, which is a different and equally deliberate look.
What do bezel set pendants cost?
From about ₹49,000 to about ₹93,000 across these 6 designs. The diamond is ₹50,000 per carat for VVS clarity and E colour, the same rate for every buyer, and metal and setting are additional. A bezel uses slightly more metal than a prong setting, which is reflected in the making.
Do you make cross pendants?
Yes. Two designs in this edit are Aura cross pendants, one with round bezel set diamonds and one with square bezel settings. Both are made to order in about three weeks in 14K or 18K BIS hallmarked gold, in yellow, rose or white, and shipped fully insured.
How do I clean a bezel setting?
It is the easiest setting to clean, because there are no prongs and no tight gaps for residue to lodge in. Warm water, a drop of mild soap, a soft brush around the rim and a lint free cloth to dry. The one place to check is the underside of the bezel, where the metal meets the back of the stone, since that is where a film can build up unnoticed.

Choosing the Right Solitaire Pendant for You

Selecting the perfect solitaire pendant involves considering several factors, including the type of gemstone and metal. Diamonds are a popular choice, but colored gemstones like sapphires or emeralds can add a personal touch. Therefore, it’s essential to choose a design that reflects your style and personality, ensuring you will enjoy wearing it for years to come.
