GIVA and Nivara serve different buyers. GIVA is a large silver and diamond jewellery brand with over 280 stores and a strong digital presence, and its lab-grown line, Heer by GIVA, sits at the accessible end of the certified market. Nivara holds every diamond to one standard: VVS clarity, E colour, ideal cut, hearts and arrows precise. Both certify their stones.

Where GIVA is genuinely the better choice
GIVA has done something difficult very well. It made certified diamond jewellery ordinary to buy, in a country where it never used to be. That is a real achievement and it serves a real buyer.
- Buying your first diamond. If this is your first certified diamond piece and you want to begin at an accessible price, GIVA is a sensible place to start.
- Gifting. A birthday, an anniversary, a thank you. GIVA is strong at pieces meant to be given without a long buying process behind them.
- Speed and convenience. Order online, receive it at home, almost anywhere in India. Few brands match that.
- Digital experience. A clean, quick, well built way to browse and buy, with over 280 stores if you would rather see it first.
GIVA serves a different buyer, not a lesser one. If what you need is a certified lab-grown diamond piece, quickly, at an entry price, it is a good answer. See how the market lines up in our guide to the top lab-grown diamond jewellery brands in India.
The Nivara standard
Nivara answers a different question. Not how quickly can you own a diamond, but how good can the one you own be.
At Nivara there is one standard, and every diamond meets it.
Every Nivara diamond is VVS in clarity and E in colour. Every one is an ideal cut, hearts and arrows precise. Every one is chosen by our gemologists and passes 27 quality checks before it is ever set. And every one arrives with its own light performance report, so its brightness, fire, and contrast are not described to you. They are measured for you.
We wear diamonds to feel good, and to stand out. That should never come with a compromise. So we do not make one.
The price is stated as plainly as the standard. A Nivara VVS E diamond is ₹50,000 per carat, the same for everyone, with the setting and metal additional. See the full working in lab-grown diamond prices in India.
What is a light performance report, and why ask for one?
The 4Cs describe what a diamond is. They do not describe how it behaves on your hand. A light performance report grades exactly that: a diamond's brightness (all the white light it returns), its fire (the flashes of colour), and its contrast (the crisp balance of light and dark that makes it look alive), summarised in an overall score.
Two diamonds can read the same on paper and look nothing alike in a room. This is the report that tells you which is which, and Nivara ships one with every diamond. It sits alongside the IGI certificate, never in place of it. To understand what the certificate itself covers, read what an IGI certificate tells you.
What to look for when you compare lab-grown diamond brands
A diamond is easy to grade on paper and harder to judge in the light. Before you choose one, these are the things worth looking for.
- How it handles light. The 4Cs tell you what a diamond is. They do not tell you how it behaves on your hand. A diamond's real beauty is its brightness, its fire (the flashes of colour), and its contrast (the crisp balance of light and dark that makes it look alive). A light performance report measures exactly this, beyond the 4Cs.
- Cut, and the precision of it. Cut is where a diamond earns its light. Look for an ideal cut, and for hearts and arrows, a pattern that appears only when a diamond is cut with near perfect symmetry. It is the difference between a stone that sparkles and one that merely sits there.
- Colour and clarity you can actually name. Ask precisely what you are getting, not only the carat.
- A certificate that matches the stone. Look for an IGI report whose number is laser inscribed on the diamond itself, so the paper and the stone are one and the same.
Know these, and you can judge any diamond you are shown, in any store, ours included.
What makes a Nivara diamond stand out
What makes a Nivara diamond stand out is that it is chosen to. Our gemologists select for the stones that catch the eye across a room, the ones that look brilliant on a hand, not merely correct on a report.
And a Nivara diamond is cared for, for life. Every piece comes with lifetime polishing, cleaning, and our jewellery spa. We tighten prongs and maintain your piece for as long as you own it. Should you ever wish to, you can exchange it at full value, or return it to us through our lifetime buyback at 100% gold / 85% diamond value.
A diamond chosen to stand out, kept brilliant for a lifetime, and always worth returning to. That is what a Nivara diamond is.
Which should you choose?
If you are buying your first certified diamond piece, or a gift, and you want it quickly at an entry price with delivery to your door, GIVA is built for that and does it well.
If this is a diamond you intend to wear for decades, and you want one standard applied to it, a report that measures how it returns light, a private viewing where you see it in person before you decide, and a piece kept brilliant and bought back for life, that is Nivara. Our showrooms are in Jubilee Hills Hyderabad, Bangalore and Indore.

Which is better, Nivara or GIVA, for lab-grown diamonds?
Neither is better for every buyer. GIVA leads on convenience, price accessibility, nationwide delivery and over 280 stores.
