The halo cluster pendant at the centre of this mangalsutra takes the place of a traditional bottu or vaati motif. The round brilliant diamonds in the close-set halo carry the symbolic function of the piece while making it legible in contemporary dressing. Both lab-grown and earth-mined diamonds possess identical physical and chemical properties. It is impossible to distinguish them with the naked eye. Just like a test tube baby and a naturally born baby!
